Privacy Policy

Short version: The Stillcut app does its work entirely on your device. It does not collect, store, transmit, or share personal information, and it has no analytics, tracking, ads, or accounts. The public website uses privacy-focused, aggregate Cloudflare Web Analytics as described below.

What the app accesses

Videos you choose. When you pick a video (from Photos or Files), Stillcut reads it locally only to let you scrub it and extract frames. Videos are never uploaded anywhere.
Photo library (save). When you save an extracted frame, the app adds that image to your photo library using the system permission you grant. It does not read or browse your library beyond what you select.

Data the app collects

None. The Stillcut app has no servers and makes no network requests for your content. The app does not collect usage data, device identifiers, location, or personal information. Because the app collects nothing, it sells and shares nothing.

Purchases

The optional one-time “Pro” upgrade is processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles payment and your purchase history; Stillcut never sees your payment details. Restoring a purchase is handled by Apple via your Apple ID.

Images you create

Frames you extract are saved to your own device / photo library or shared by you via the system share sheet. You control where they go; the app does not retain copies elsewhere.

Website analytics

The website at stillcut.app uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to provide aggregate traffic and performance measurements. It does not use cookies or local storage to measure visits, is not used to identify individual visitors, and does not receive your videos or extracted images. This website measurement is separate from the Stillcut app, which contains no analytics.

Children’s privacy

The Stillcut app does not collect data from anyone, including children. The website analytics described above are not used to identify individual visitors.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
